Happy Spring 2014

Happy Spring!

Can you believe it is finally here?  I was beginning to wonder if …

This has been one of the longest winters I can ever remember.  I am so glad the new season is here, and new life, and new hope can spring forth once again.

These are the first of my flowers to bloom.  They are so beautiful!  They are a tribute to an awesome Creator.  They are full of such promise for new life and such courage to defy the wintery cold weather that has continued to linger and hold them back.  Just look how they have pushed through all the dead debri from the previous year, pushed through the soil, to reach above it, and grab the sunshine, and bloom in all their magnificent splendor!

Like these lovely beauties, I too am ready to bloom.  I am ready to spring forth into this new year with courage and defy all the hardships that have lingered and have tried to hold me back this past year.  Hardships I am currently walking through will melt away as the snow and ice melt when the sun shines forth.  Grief that I can hardly bare from this season will have to move aside as I push up and push through.  I am ready to defy winter’s death grip and emmerge from its hibernating hold.  I have survived.  I am ready to rise above, and bloom where I am planted and bring glory to my Creator.
May your Spring and New Year be filled with promise and purpose!
Be blessed!
