Cupcake Fun

My little kitchen helpers are excited to count the cupcake holders and put them in the muffin tin for me..

Big sister thinks this is really funny, because after counting them numerous times, mommy put them all in the muffin tin so I could get this task done, and little brother is taking them back out, again.

Big sister ran out of patience as little brother removes them and puts them back in, time after time.

Finally after 30 minutes of playing with the paper holders, little brother is ready for us to begin filling the cups.

He is counting and making sure I do it just right.  He has decided on a new game.

Each time I finish filling a cup, he wants to show me the next cup to fill.  I am not supposed to move ahead.  Kind of like Simon Says fill this cup.

This is taking way longer than I planned.

Finally they are all filled and I step away to put them in the oven.

He agrees that he is going to wait patiently for me to load them in the oven and set the timer.  He promises not to spill the remaining batter.  He is looking forward to helping me fill more muffin cups with the batter.

But before I return, he has thought of a new game.  Big sister catches him in the act and reports promptly that he is doing a no-no.

She definately does not approve of his carefully placed cupcake batter.  However, he is quite proud of his accomplishment.  Look mommy, I didn’t spill it.

Finally, the cupcakes were finished and the kids decorated them to look kind of like turkeys, or a mouse with funny hair ?
